Hello to all!
I am a mother of two, living in Germany for about 10 years. I have two children 7 and 8. We got married in 1991 in England. My hubby came to Germany as a student a couple of years before our wedding. I was born in India came to England with my family when I was 2. England is a great place. Moving to Germany was hard at first; we had decided to move to England after the birth of my daughter and son. She was born in Germany and my son in England; they were about 3 and 4 when we moved. We bought a house in England, my hubby stayed in Berlin. He was self employed and didn't want to leave all is hard work. He was working with two other men on market stands so he wanted me to make sure that I totally wanted to stay in England. He didn't like the idea. I was there for about 6 months, I didn't like it. My hubby was visiting regularly but it is so different there compared to Berlin. One thing there are so many us Indians there, its difficult to fit in after years of doing things the way I wanted to, not the way us Indians do things and think they should be done in this special way. So we sold the house and came back to Berlin and last year we bought a Bungalow in Gliencke which is 5 min drive to Berlin. We like it here all though the people are not so friendly and open as in England but when you are married, I think family life comes first and that is important than other things. We are happy and the kids enjoy there school. My hubby now with the markets has found a job as a driver for the Mauritaus embassy and enjoys it. My German is a lot better but writing it is hard. Palo
